Liver Oil contains ONLY naturally occurring A
and D, which is why the amount is given
within a range: it naturally varies from
catch to catch.
Only cod fish caught
during the winter and early spring are used, as the liver
oil content is highest at this time of year. The oil is
separated from the liver tissues without the use of
chemicals by a low temperature process known as molecular
distillation.
You may wish to add Cod Liver Oil to,
or substitute for, your Fish Oil during winter
months if your exposure to the sun is less at that time. I
find it makes all the difference for itchy, dry
legs.
To insure freshness of
Carlsons Norwegian Cod Liver Oil, the air inside the glass
bottle has been replaced with nitrogen. The Cod Liver Oil
is steam distilled to remove heavy metals.
